Great Falls Lacrosse is pleased to announce a series of girls’ fall programs designed to provide a positive, rewarding lacrosse experience for all players. These programs include developmental clinics for the novice player, specialty skills clinics for the more experienced players, and a select tournament program for the advanced players.
LittleLax (ages 4 - 6)
Our LittleLax program a fun developmental clinic geared to the younger player (as young as 4) that meets for 90 minutes on Sundays. The only equipment required is a stick and mouth guard (cleats are recommended but not required). Through small group games and fun drills, participants in our LittleLax program will learn the basics of stick handling, passing and catching, shooting and the all important ground ball. The clinics are a great way to introduce your daughter to lacrosse.

Developmental Clinics
Great Falls Lacrosse will again have clinics for its newer and younger players. These clinics are structured to prepare novice players for the spring season by emphasizing basic stick skills as well as individual and team offensive and defensive concepts. These clinics will begin on Sunday, September 12th and run for 8 weekends.

Specialty Skills Clinics
Over the summer we will be developing a program designed to advance the skills of those girls who have lacrosse experience. This program will continue to develop fundamental stick skills, but will also focus on specific areas of the game such as taking the draw, shooting, double team defense, one-on-one defense and team offensive motion. In addition, we will seek out opportunities to schedule scrimmages with other clubs and play in fall events geared toward this skill level, such as the Frederick Stars 7v7 Fall Play Day. Our goal is to bring in guest coaches, and local high school and college players to assist with this program. These clinics will begin on Sunday, September 12th and run for 8 weekends.

GF Select Team
In order to better serve our most advanced players, for the past few years Great Falls Lacrosse has fielded Girls’ Tournament Teams. For 2010 we have made a number of significant and exciting changes to enhance this program and elevate it to a more competitive experience.
