LittleLax Clinics compared to Boys 6U/Girls Grades K-2 Game Play
Great Falls Lacrosse will run a Spring LittleLax program for boys and girls. LittleLax is different from Boys 6U and its equivalent Girls grades K/2 teams .
LittleLax is a fun developmental clinic geared to the younger player (as young as 4) that meets for 60 minutes on Saturdays in Great Falls. LittleLax players wear mouthguards and use lacrosse sticks (sticks are available to borrow during the clinics).
6U and K/2 are team-oriented versions of lacrosse where the players wear full pads (boys) and goggles (girls). They are placed on teams and play games against other NVYLL teams.
Please contact one of the commissioners if you would like some guidance in placing your child in either LittleLax or Boys 6U or Girls K-2.
LittleLax will only run if enough players register. If we are too light on players, your son or daughter will be given the option of moving up to 6U or K/2 or receiving a full refund.
Little Lax for boys and girls will be held on Saturday mornings at Leo Santaballa field (behind the Great Falls Library). Boys from 9-10am, Girls from 10:30-11:30am. Little Lax will run for seven weeks: April 10, 17, 24, May 1, 8, 15 and 22. June 5 will be used as a rain make up. Little Lax will not be held over Easter Weekend or Memorial Day Weekend.
Boys 6U and Girls K-2 Teams
have 1 weekday practice and will play games on weekends (generally Saturdays for boys and Sundays for girls) against other NVYLL or neighboring teams. Games are held at fields in Fairfax and Loudoun counties. There is no score keeping.
